BL1Y2-200IOV2L
BYD BL1Y2-200IOV2L automotive-grade Hall-effect current sensor module, isolated and contactless, for EV motor, battery and converter current.
The BL1Y2-200IOV2L is a BYD Semiconductor current sensor module that uses a magnetic, Hall-effect principle to measure AC or DC current without a shunt, aimed at electric-vehicle and industrial power systems. Because the measurement is contactless, the sensor isolates the high-power path from the measurement circuit, removes the insertion loss of a shunt and stays accurate over temperature, and there is no wear part, so the sensor is stable over a long service life. The 200 class current range suits the measurement of a motor phase current or a battery current in a traction or a power system, and the automotive grade covers the temperature and the vibration of an under-hood environment. It provides an analog output proportional to the current for an ADC to read, in a robust module that pairs naturally with a BYD power module and MCU. Typical applications include the phase current of a motor drive, the charge and discharge current of a battery, the output current of a converter and the current monitoring of a charging system. Every sensor BeiLuo ships is factory-traceable and includes an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file. Our FAE team helps you choose the current range, the isolation and the mounting and plan the accuracy over temperature.
FAE Professional Review
The BL1Y2-200IOV2L is an automotive-grade current sensor for a higher-current path such as a motor phase or a battery, and its isolated, contactless measurement is a clean alternative to a shunt and an isolation amplifier. Keep the high-current path and the signal path separated, respect the isolation creepage, and verify the accuracy at the temperature extremes of the application.

Frequently Asked Questions
What projects suit the BL1Y2-200IOV2L?
It suits a higher-current path in an electric-vehicle or industrial system, such as a motor phase, a battery or a converter output, where an isolated, contactless sensor is needed. The automotive grade covers a wide temperature range.
Our FAE team can help match the current range.
Why use a sensor instead of a shunt here?
The current is large and often at a high potential, so a shunt would waste power and need a differential amplifier and isolation. A Hall-effect sensor measures the current without a shunt and with isolation in one package, which is simpler and more efficient.
Our FAE team can compare the options.
Is the sensor genuine and documented?
BeiLuo supplies factory-traceable BL1Y2-200IOV2L sensors with an import declaration, certificate of origin and RoHS file on every order. Stock is normally available and the datasheet downloads from this page.
